Oops, I bought another Car

While I Enjoy driving the Diesel Grand Cherokee, it's not quite as fun as a sports car. To solve that problem I ran strait out (as soon as my wife finally gave in) and bought another Corvette.

Everything is done outside of picking it up and driving it the 1400 miles home. I'll be doing a nice series of Oppo posts on the drive home. This isn't my first Corvette (3rd) but it is my first C6 (2006->2013).

How much did that C6 run you? cause a Vette is kinda on the table if I sell my Gran Torino. Along with a NSX and maybe something else. Also how is the C6 I've never been in one.

You can get C6's from 20k (higher mileage, less options, LS2 vs LS3) -> 100k (3ZR ZR1 still on dealers lots) right now. Depends on what you want. I wanted a lower mileage LS3 with the LT3 (heated seats, heads up, nav, etc) package. I paid less than 30 for it.

Ah ok, cause I am maybe thinking of trying to get 20k+ out of my torino. if I decide to sell it. Cause the NSX I am looking at is 23k (99k miles and auto sadly). I'm just looking for something with handling and a bit of power. (also owns a 2011 Mustang GT)

C5's are crazy cheap right now, but I'd jump for the C6. An M6 2005 with sub 60k on the clock will get you 410 or so HP, a proper stick, and a whole lot of fun. As long as you follow some maintenance suggestions they're bulletproof in stock form and will run into the 200k mile range.

IMO BMWs blend in too much an NSX will be noticed more I think but I dunno. And I was looking at an 05 M5 with the V10 but it has SMG or an auto whatever the M6 is also pretty big

Congrats on the new ride! I've looked at C5s, but haven't checked out C6s that much, for some unknown reason. However, once of dem dere engines in a C5 will be making its way into the Miata, so I suppose that's as close as I'll get for now.

Ohhhh ok. lol. While I would love a stick. I just never had a good reason to get one cause living in two bigger cities (STL and Springfield MO) traffic is kinda bad at times and my dad has had several sticks and he said he loathes them in traffic and STL has some big ass hills so....excuses I know that can overcome but why start now when the Manual Gear box seems to be going away?

The vette is one of the best stick cars city wise as it has all the torques in the world - 2nd gear starts are the norm, no quick shifting from light to light etc. That being said I live in the middle of fucking nowhere and don't leave my house for work so don't take my advice on that.

Is that a Z06 or are those just the Z06 wheels? As someone who is interested in purchasing a C5 Z06, how much better is it than the base? Worth the price?

Coupe with Z06 Wheels. I wouldn't do a Z06 over a coupe, coupe can take the top out, and has storage. The power difference is an easy cam/whatever to make up. There are after market options to all the aspects of the Z06 that make it generally not better than the coupe. If you prefer no removable top, then maybe a Z.

I was looking at 2 years to a C5, but now I'm thinking 3 years to a C7. Maybe jump on a C6 in 2 years if prices come down a bunch.
